Annual Rhododendron Show and Sale

Our last Rhododendron Show was held in 2019. The pandemic and other events have interfered in having a show again in recent years. We will keep our information about the show posted for when we are able to schedule one in the future.

The Eureka Chapter holds its annual Rhododendron Show and Plant Sale the last weekend in April in Miles Hall at St. Bernard’s Elementary School, 115 Henderson Street, Eureka. The event is in conjunction with The Greater Eureka Chamber of Commerce’s annual Rhododendron Festival and Parade.

The show and plant sale is held on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Entries to the show are accepted from both members and non members with no entry fee. Entries can be dropped off at the hall on the Friday before the event, between 5:00 pm and 8:30 pm and on Saturday morning before the event between 7:30 am and 9:00 am. There are professional show judges and many entry categories. Also, many rhododendron experts are on hand to answer questions or provide specific expertise on the care and maintenance of Rhododendrons and Azaleas.

The rules and regulations for the show can be found by clicking on EC Show Rules & TablesThe Entry Key Master List can be downloaded as well. This is a printable version that can be downloaded for general information or to assist anyone interested in entering the show.

This is a wonderful event to show off beautiful rhododendrons and to educate the public about Rhododendrons and Azaleas, with a typical show display of over 300 blossoms and plants. The plant sale is also a great place to purchase unique and new Rhododendrons and Azaleas. Chapter members have first opportunity to select plants and purchase at a discount.
